In Brief:
Quentin has worked professionally in the lighting business since 1983, having first
been involved in amateur theatre from an early age.
He studied lighting, sound and stage management at The Rose Bruford College of
Speech and Drama in Sidcup, Kent from 1981-82.
His first job was at the Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith.
From there, he moved to London Festival Ballet (now English National Ballet), where he worked
as a member of the touring lighting team on seasons at the Royal Festival

the UK touring circuit.
In
1985 he launched himself into the freelance market and began work in the
conference and events field as well as theatre, fashion shows and dance.
In 1987 he helped set up Superstage Lighting, in north London, and continued his career
as a full-time conference and events lighting designer.
Three years later in 1990, he made the move to Midnight Design ,where he was able to develop his interests in a greater
variety of disciplines such as outdoor events, concerts, architectural lighting,
touring with bands etc, and gradually moving into large scale events such as
Stadium and Arena scale car launches, and conferences.
In 1996 he left Midnight to set-up Quentin Jarman Ltd, where he continues to work
